| | Can You Help Us with These Topics? | | Beginning in 2019 we'll be relaunching Insurance Journal's Advertising and Marketing Blog, or iJam for short. We'll be presenting items of interest to marketers of all levels. Everything from Twitter basics to setting up your own retargeting campaign. We'll share some of our favorite tools, blogs, and podcasts too! And thanks to the awesome platforms and insanely talented New Media department we have over here at Wells Media, we're able to do this in lots of cool formats. Audio, video with screen shares, webinars, and even good old-fashioned word crafting. But see, here's the thing. As we contemplate topics here in the marketing department at Wells Media, we're keenly aware that our own advertisers are doing some amazing things in this field. We invite advertisers on any of our brands to share your own marketing- and advertising-related tips with us (and with the largest insurance audience in the world!)* ▸ Get Featured on IJ's Ad & Marketing Blog Who can participate: If your company has a current campaign running at Insurance Journal, MyNewMarkets, Carrier Management, or Claims Journal, and you'd like to share your savvy, we'd love to hear your ideas! Your tips and successes! The things that make you go "Aw man...that was cool!" If you work for an advertising agency, we encourage you to have your clients get involved. Here are some examples of topics we'd like you...our advertisers...to help us with: • Email do's and don'ts • Tradeshow hijinx (best practices and fun ideas) • How to test your own brand Have a topic you'd like to see? A tip to share? A marketing experience that was just so awesome you need to talk about it? Or maybe someone in your own marketing department who deserves to be highlighted? ▸ Let's hear about it! Here's to a great 2019. We're looking forward to collaborating with you!
Julie Tinney CMO, Wells Media Group, Inc. * Sometimes people are surprised by how many insurance executives visit InsuranceJournal.com. In October 2018 for instance, 681,866 users visited us! (I know, right?!) | | | | | | | Quote of Note | | "He who has a thing to sell, and goes and whispers in a well, is not as apt to get the dollars, as he who climbs a tree and hollers." | - Author Unknown | | | | | | | | Staff Highlight | | Ashley Berg, or Ash as we call her, was recently named Sales & Marketing Coordinator for Wells Media Group. | | | | | | | She performs a variety of sales and marketing tasks, including posts for our sponsored news and blog clients. Look for her to be out and about at conferences soon and say 'hi'! Five Things to Know About Ash: 1. | I was born and raised in San Diego. We are rare and few and I'm proud to be one of them! :) | | 2. | I love to travel. So far I've been to 12 countries, and I studied abroad in Italy for a summer. | | 3. | I have been involved with fitness my whole life starting with soccer and gymnastics as a kid, to taking yoga classes for 10 years now. I'm a certified yoga sculpt instructor. | | 4. | We're dog people. My family has 4 dogs that we've rescued: a terrier mix, a long-haired chihuahua, a Boston terrier, and a pit bull mix that thinks he's a baby human. | | 5. | I have a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing and Painting. Art has and always will be a fun hobby of mine. My first marketing job after college made me realize that there are jobs in the business world that can be creative and fun. Like my job at Wells Media!
